Besides Tantoco, on hand to welcome guests from the media were Century Tuna executives Leo Po and senior product manager Angela Gamboa. Century Corned Tuna celebrity endorser Derek Ramsay and Superbods 2009 winners Van Victor Leaño and Theresa Fenger also graced the media launch hosted by athletic TV personality Reema Chanco.
According to Gamboa, Century Tuna has collaborated with the country’s top running coach Rio de la Cruz of RunRio to ensure a fun-filled event for runners and guests. Gamboa further explained that the event also aims to raise funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
In a short presentation, Gamboa also explained what runners and guests could expect during the event. Runners can choose from four race events: 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km, where at stake are big cash prizes and special gift packs for male and female top finishers. Highlighting the event is the Superbods Go-See, where all race finishers get a chance to become the next image models of Century Tuna and win P100,000.

A raffle-for-a-cause will also be held, where participants who present as many Century Tuna labels at the drop-off areas at registration venues and at the event itself get to win big prizes. For every label dropped, a corresponding donation will go to the UNICEF and the WWF.
To get a feel of the fit and healthy lifestyle, guests enjoyed a mini workout with bikes by Fitness First. They were also given a free fitness assessment and information on Fitness First programs and services in preparation for the Run.
